Firstly, the picture quality and sound quality are excellent. It is the best seen to date. Why did I return this TV and buy a 6-series? This TV is the exact same TV as the 650 series with the addition of a hard drive, a third speaker, a non-swiveling stand and a glass beveled frame.
The swiveling stand isn't a deal breaker, but I can't understand why they wouldn't include this if it is on the 6-series already? The glass-beveled frame was a purely aesthetic addition and it is a HUGE flaw. When you watch this TV in a dark room, the picture from the TV will light up that frame and it is like watching the TV with a bright halo around it and it is very distracting. In a bright room it is not as noticeable- but for me the addition of a hard drive and 3rd speaker didn't outweigh the better viewing quality and swiveling stand.
Pros: Great picture, great sound, neat feautres
Cons: Non-swiveling stand, glass-beveled frame detracts from picture
Based on pro vs cons, go with the 6 series.

I did months of research before purchasing this TV. It came down to this model and the Sharp Aquos special edition. (LC-46SE94U).
On paper they're very similar products both with different advantages. Samsung has an extra HDMI port while Sharp has free internet diagnosis. (hook your tv up to the internet and Sharp can fix your tv remotely if anything ever went wrong with it.)
On paper I was sold on Sharp. But then I went and looked at the tvs in person to check picture quality. The Sharp didn't even compare to the Samsung. I changed the settings to make sure they weren't trying to sell one over the other. (I'm skeptical about retail stores) This Samsung has a picture quality like no other LCD. The blacks are as deep as plasmas. There can an issue with glare because of the glass over the screen... but if you're smart about where you place your tv in relation to your windows... this is not an issue.
Now this is the best part everyone needs to know... because I didn't realize it

I won't repeat the praises of the TV quality of what others said, as I agree with most of them and don't need to repeat what is already said a dozen times. Now onto aspects that might affect buyers' decision.
Halo effect:
If you view the picture there a hard to see clear bezel, about a centimeter extending from the touch of red color. Under certain conditions you will notice the surrounding light up as if the TV picture's colors extends itself onto the surrounding bezel. It is noticeable, but not really distracting nor did it detract my enjoyment of the movies I watch. I felt the beautiful design counter this point, but to each their own.
DLNA:
I did a ton of research and find the lack of information on this feature so thought I would write a review mainly on this feature. This was the selling point why I chose this model over the 46A650. It was a mistake. This model present two options of video playback -- through USB and DLNA, both which failed horribly, in my opinion, because

I purchased this TV as I felt that the technology has finally matured to the level that I would be satisfied with and I am satisfied with the 750-series. My minimum requirements for an LCD HDTV are 120 Hz frame rate, 4 ms response time, 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and of course full HD (1920x1080 pixels) and this unit offers all of these. I do not have a BlueRay HD-player to see how 1080p would look, but satellite signal at 1080i looks smooth and sharp.
I did not think I would require more than 2 HDMI connections, one for the signal from a surround sound receiver and another for X-box/PS3-games for my kids. But I had not decided on the SS-receiver yet. The 4 HDMI and 2 component connections proved to be very useful. My older satellite receiver only had component and S-video. I used the latter for my old setup, which on HD looks terrible. The direct connection through component input improved the image tremendously. I suspect that this unit does video signal upconverting very well. When

While I have purchased numerous items from Amazon I have lost some respect since they are affiliated with a lender that has this misleading offer of NO interest for 36 months on this item. First of all the consumer is approved thru GE Bank and even Bill Gates or Warren Buffett would be approved for ONLY a $500.00 credit limit ! Leaving the remaining balance on this T.V. to be charged at a ridiculous high interest rate. My son has a credit score of 727 and received only a $500.00 limit, yet just recently applied for a Visa credit card and was immediately given a $5000.00 limit due to his outstanding record of credit. He called GE Bank and was given the run around so he cancelled the approved card and has NO plans to be purchase anything from Amazon in the future.
I am fairly sure Amazon will not let this review be published but consumers should be made aware of this.

The Samsung Series 7, 46" HD LCD was easy to connect; I had the TV and home theater system connected in about 10 minutes. Initial TV setup was easy and intuitive. The menu items and submenu items are intuitive. The HD picture quality is absolutely awesome. I have not seen any of the flaws attributed to previous generations of LCD TVs, e.g., blurred response to action scenes. The remote selections are intuitive. In particular, it has a tools menu that contains most of the selections that you would use on a regular basis. The user's manual is very comprehensive, explaining the details of different operating modes. PS: Amazon's "White Glove" delivery service was also great.

Waited to write a review because I wanted the "honeymoon" phase to pass...over a month later and we are still in love with this TV and Amazon! We researched online and in person for a very long time before making our purchase and we couldn't be more thrilled. The picture quality and additional features on this Samsung TV are amazing. Our room is very bright with lots of windows & skylights and we have no problem with glare or picture fade on this unit. Was hesitant to purchase electronics over the internet instead of at a local store, but honestly this is one of the best purchases we have ever made with not a single moment of regret. Amazon shipped the TV very quickly, and the white glove delivery was incredible. They set up the TV in our wall unit, made all the connections so we could check it out before signing for it, and took all the packaging away. The purchase price was lower than the local stores, plus there was no sales tax and no shipping charges. HERE IS THE BEST PART...Amazon

I have only had this TV for a few days, so this is not a complete review, but I wanted to warn others about some issues that they may find important.
Picture quality is great - I have not run a calibration or tested various known sources for difficult to reproduce scenes or motion. The blacks are so good that the image color looks over saturated at the factory default setting when placed next to a panel with lower contrast ratio. (It should be kept in mind that the eye has a logarithmic response to light, and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio may not be that much more than a 30,000:1 ratio.) In the store I was comparing this panel to a 46a550 and 46a530 all at their factory default settings. The 550's image was more natural looking at the factory default setting.
Watching SD analog content on digital TVs can be annoying with various artifacts visible in the conversion of the analog signal to the native digital of the TV. This TV does a very respectable job of this - with the SD images mostly

Wow. This is my first purchase of a flat screen tv and I am blown away! I did a lot of research on others and settled on this, and I'm very pleased.
First off, several have mentioned the red color around the edge... not to worry, its looks very, very nice. Samsung has done a great job of taking a every day product and turned it into a work of art.
The picture quality is excellent, there are plenty of dvi inputs; I have no problem hooking up my AppleTV, PS3 & Direct TV box.
I bought a few blue ray movies (play them in my PS3) and they are amazing! I cant imagine the quality getting better than blue-ray, but who knows. The PS3 games look equally amazing as well, if you play games you'll be blown away playing on this tv.
The only two things that I don't like about the tv are the remote. Its been mentioned here the remote is a little funky, and it is. They tried to implement a iPod style click wheel, but to be honest its pretty lame. The other (also mentioned here) is the white

Samsung LN46A750 46-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color
Without a question this is a great TV.
However a significant major design flaw is very distracting.
The edge is a 3/8" thick x 3" glass frame and light is transmitted from the inside out through the glass (edge piece). Imagine seeing an aura around the TV on the outside edge where there is clear 1/4" clear class bezel. I have proven this being the problem by masking the inside edge with black electrical tape, which blocks the light transmission.
I which I could attach some pictures. I placed a service call with Samsung and pictures were sent to them. There response was that this effect was by design. Indeed flawly designed. This effect is more pronounced at night or in a dark room, or when located in an entertainment center.

I've had this for almost a week now and am very satisfied. The auto-motion makes everything, including SD, look much more real, although when set to high it looks a little unnatural (unless you're watching something like Shrek or Nemo). The Low auto-motion setting seems to work the best. I also really liked the deep-blacks you can get from this TV.
The red aura has a cool, subtle look when the TV is off (much nicer than the 650 model in my opinion). When the TV is on you won't notice it.
My one fear was realized however. The combination of a glossy screen and deeper blacks does cause glare problems in my very windowed living room. It's only distracting in dark sections of the screen and is no worse than my tube was, but I'm sure the less glossy, comparable LCDs from Sony would cause less glare. But when even with this minor flaw I still have to give this a 5-star rating.

My wife and I had spent a great deal of time researching both plasma and LCD televisions, we finally decided on Samsung's latest models and concluded the LN46A750 best met our requirements. We are very pleased with our decision. The picture is fantastic, clear, crisp and "black is black."The 50,000:1 contrast ratio appears to give a depth to the picture, almost 3D. Don't hesitate to purchase this TV.

After shopping for a while I set on this TV, it has all the features you can ask for from a 2008 TV. Amazing pictures! even when I connect it to my old dish with standard def using regular cable, it automatically recognized it, and the picture came out better than my old Sony Trinitron (which is one of the best tube TV). the red touch is unnoticeable unless you really look for it up close. the screen is shiny so you can see reflections only in dark seen (probably because the black is so black on this tv)and when the sun is coming from my big window, so when I watch in the day, I have to close my curtains, at night not a problem.

This Samsung LN46A750 is outstanding! We are amazed at the picture. (We stepped up from a 46" 780p DLP to this 1080p LCD) We have not been able to test it's full function at 120hz since we don't have blu-ray but with all HD sources we've tried (Directv HD, Upconverted DVDs, and XBOX 360 on 1080p) the picture is just spectacular.
We were concerned about the red color around the edge, but we find that it isn't really a factor for us either way. It sort of looks like a glass top table edge with the red just inside the edge all the way around.
The other issue we were concerned about from all the reviews is the glossy screen finish. This absolutely makes the picture seem sharper and the contrast higher. We have a room with many windows (not the prime setting during the daytime for screen placement but not much choice for us) and while you can see reflections with the screen off, once it is on it doesn't seem to be any problem. In very dark shots you might see a reflection during daylight

Ordered this TV from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Shipping via CEVA was painless. This is the 5th HDTV we have owned, and it is by far the best. Picture quality is out of this world. Extra features like Anynet+, Wiselink, and DLNA are great and very well implemented. Paired this set with a Samsung 1500 blue-ray, they pair great together. I can praise this set alot longer, but I think the title says it all. This is the best purchase I have made in a while.

I currently have a Sony KDL-40XBR2, and wanted an upgrade, and wasn't sure wether to purchase a KDL-46XBR4 model or this new Samsung LN46A750 model. After doing extensive research, I decided to go with the Samsung LN46A750. I purchased this TV a few days ago, and this tv is simply amazing. The picture quality is excellent, and I must admit, at least to me, is much better than the XBR2 I currently have.
Just a note...under one of the settings on the TV, the energy saver setting might be set to AUTO, and if that is the case the contrast will fluctuate. Once that feature is turned off, the TV will no longer "flicker".

"My husband and I love this TV - crisp, clear and unbelievable picture. The purchase on Amazon was amazingly easy, too. Shipping with no problems directly to our area of the home that we needed the TV. Would not hesitate for a minute to do this again."

I have been researching the best price versus value for Samsung and other brand LCD 720P & 1080P televisions for at least 2 years by reading the reviews. I was just about to purchase Samsung model LNT4665 (Highest Rated) when I noticed that this model LN46A750 was released in April. Samsung LCD TV's have a great track record for picture quality and reliability, so I purchased this model even though there were no reviews posted on Amazon yet.
The price is at least a $1000 lower than the retail chain stores and the FREE "White Glove" delivery is an added bonus. Amazon's white glove delivery means that the TV is brought into your home, carton removed and placed on your TV stand for no extra cost. At that point you can power it up and check for defects (dead pixels) before you sign the delivery receipt.
Now onto picture quality. This 1080P LCD TV's picture quality is simply astounding!. The contrast levels rival that of Plasma televisions. Up until recently, Plasma televisions had far superior
